Precious Akpan is a Digital Product, Growth, and Innovation Leader with experience spanning media, nonprofit development, digital banking, and technology-driven organizations. Her career is centered on translating strategic ideas into measurable business and social impact through technology-enabled systems and product-led growth.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (First Class Honours) from the University of Lagos and an MBA with Distinction from San Francisco Bay University, where she also served as a Teaching Assistant supporting startup-focused programs and mentoring early-stage founders.
Precious is the winner of the Future Awards Africa Prize for Intrapreneurship (2023), a continental recognition awarded to professionals who drive innovation, growth, and meaningful change from within organizations.
Throughout her career, Precious has held leadership roles across organizations including Leading Ladies Africa, Clickafix Nigeria Ltd, and Sterling Alternative Finance. Her work has focused on digital transformation, product-led growth, financial inclusion, and cross-sector collaboration.
Through her contributions, she has supported the scaling of digital platforms, empowered artisans and entrepreneurs, and expanded access to technology-enabled financial services. Her work consistently bridges strategy, execution, and measurable performance outcomes.
In 2023, she founded Afriskill Innovate — a career, digital, and innovation development platform supporting early-career professionals, emerging entrepreneurs, and startups with practical skills, career clarity, and innovation readiness. Through Afriskill, she contributes to strengthening Africa’s digital talent pipeline and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
She is also the voice and face behind “The Precious Akpan,” a platform dedicated to sharing career resources and spotlighting #IntrapreneursWithAudacity. As an Institute of STEM Innovation and Excellence (ISIE) Fellow, she advances STEM excellence through mentorship, applied innovation, ecosystem development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that drive sustainable economic and social impact.
